My Bio
All of my works are made with a photographic technique called "light painting" aka "light drawing". It's based on long exposure times that vary from a few seconds to hours. While the cameras shutter is open you are able to draw in the air by moving different kinds of light sources in front of the camera. Darkness is the canvas and light is my brush.

Like many others, I get my best kicks from the nature. By contrast I also use a lot of urban landscapes and places in my work. I want each of my light forms to be an inseparable part of it's own enviroment. I call them as Light flowers or Luminous beings. I keep my pictures as natural as it’s possible. No post editing, manipulation or digital effects (Photoshop etc.) are used. I think that’s where the magic is, at least for me.

Fantastic Work!
your painting skills are very nice
Your work is amazing, you deserve more attention! Greets from Germany!
Hi! I was looking at your work and it is lovely! How do you avoid getting body parts while you draw with the light? And what kind of lights do you use? Keep it up!
Hi!

Sorry about my late answer, been away way from here for a while.

Great to hear that you like my work, appreciated! Painter won't stay in picture if he's wearing dark clothes and keeps moving all the time. And of course, the camera settings play important role also. It depends on how much there's ambient light. If there's street lights near or something else that is bright, you have to set the camera as insensitive as possible and use brightest light tools you have. Maybe ISO 100 all the time and vary aperture between f/6.3 and f/22.

I use cheapo torches, childrens light toys, decoration lights..almost anything that emits light :) I often mod normal LED torches to fit my purposes, recycled materials like plastic bags and bottles. My electrician skills are quite poor, so I don't have any fancy light machines to do the job :) Just with free hands.

Thank you for the reply! Your work is truly stunning and inspiring. I keep looking at it and it is just...woah! So good! Seems I will just have to experiment more myself. Best of luck in all your endeavors! I'll be keeping my eye out for more of your stuff.
